Jaime Freet, an Aveda certified colorist and stylist, and Rachael Brooke, a professional makeup artist and aesthetician, were among only 35 stylists and 15 makeup artists throughout the U.S. and Canada to be chosen for the Aveda hair and makeup teams at Fashion Week.

The first step was completing a two-day class held at Aveda Advanced Academy in Soho, New York City, where they were taught everything they needed to know about creating runway looks using Aveda hair products and makeup. “It was a very fast paced environment just like Fashion Week would be,” notes Freet. “We were taught a look or technique by our Aveda master Tranquility Aveda Salon Carlisleeducators and then we would go complete that look on our model or mannequin all the while being timed and perfected.”

After finishing the course, the two were invited to Fashion Week, where they worked on teams Tranquility Wellness Center Carlisleto achieve runway looks. “The team leads would show the stylists and the makeup artists how to do the look and it was up to us to recreate it quickly,” explains Brooke.

Freet says the experience taught them to be prepared for anything. “We learned so many tips and tricks for creating fun, easy and natural styles for hair and makeup for a variety of Tranquility Salon Carlisleethnicities. We are excited to bring a touch of high fashion fun to the Carlisle community.”
