Author Lana Ryder will conduct a workshop on ReikiSound to introduce reiki practitioners to using therapeutic sound in their sessions from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., August 13, at Alta View Wellness Center.

Students will learn fundamental principles, basic science and history of sound as therapy, and proper protocol with plenty of hands-on practice time. The class includes a manual, use of all instruments, a follow-up mentoring session and a certificate.

Ryder is a local pioneer in sound therapy and the creator of this groundbreaking technique in healing.
