A Fungus Among Us

MycoSymbiotics, LLC., a mushroom farm, research and education business based out of New Cumberland and Lemoyne, will conduct the third annual MycoSymbiotics Mushroom & Arts Fest from August 4 through 6, at Camp Reiley, in Harrisburg.

Founder and CEO William Padilla-Brown states. “This event has been building a unique community in our area over the past three years. Diverse teachers from around the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic provide a wide range of classes that help provide a better understanding of our local ecology.”

At this weekend celebration of all things fungi, there will be workshops on basic mushroom biology, cultivation, mycoremediation, live arts, live music, yoga, group meditations, forays led by local mycophiles, mycophagies (mushroom tasting), games, music, dancing, a talent show, spore print/culture giveaways, a cook-off, drum circle, fire and lots of networking.
