Twenty-five years ago, a chiropractor suggested to Dr. Ida Page, owner of the Natural Health Improvement Center, in Carlisle, that the allergy shots she was receiving weren’t working. “He told me, ‘Don’t you think if they were going to work, they would have worked by now? It’s time to try something else. If you give the body what it needs, it will get well.’”

According to Page, who ultimately healed her allergy issues with chiropractic adjustments, that statement changed her life. Since then, she has helped thousands of people heal their bodies naturally without the use of drugs or surgery. “I’ve seen amazing transformations in patients dealing with all kinds of health conditions, from severe digestive issues to chronic pain,” she notes. “I’ve witnessed firsthand how well the body heals if we just give it what it needs.”

In addition to chiropractic care, nutrition counseling that includes Nutrition Response Testing and the Ultimate Fat Loss System, Page has added a new modality to her practice—biocommunication testing. “With biocommunication testing, I use a software program to gather information about conditions that may be present. It is ideal for those suffering with the resonances of Lyme and/or its co-infections. Once we know what you’re dealing with, we find a homeopathic protocol to help assist you on your journey to better health.”

Page explains that the testing is based on the fact that our bodies are internally connected, constantly communicating between systems and cells. “This communication is critical to basic life functions, all taking place on a subconscious level. Even though you may not be consciously aware of everything that is going on inside your body, you can be sure that it is working full time, doing its best with its available resources,” she says. “By interacting energetically with your body, the software will essentially ‘ask your body questions’ and record your body’s responses. Information gathered this way can help you be more proactive about your health.”

When Page first adopted the system, she tested herself and followed up with a homeopathic regimen. “The treatment worked. I was able to clear up a couple of my own health concerns. I knew it would work well for those dealing with more complicated health issues like Lyme disease.” According to Page, when it comes to Lyme disease, the symptoms can be varied and no two people are exactly alike. “That’s why it’s important that we customize the treatment to each individual,” she says. “Once we get the information we need, it’s easier to do just that.”

In accordance with her delight at helping others get well, Page got the opportunity to help her own sister-in-law, Debbie Andrews, who unknowingly contracted Lyme disease when she was 23 years old. “Debbie suffered for so long with severe headaches, memory loss, fever and flu-like symptoms, extreme fatigue and depression. None of the medical doctors knew what was wrong with her. They told her she’d need expensive medical testing which she just couldn’t afford at the time,” says Page.

Page took her biocommunication software with her on a trip to Maine earlier this year to visit Andrews. “The software identified the resonance of specific bacteria related to Lyme disease. Finally, we had something to work with.” Andrews began a homeopathic protocol for Lyme disease. “I let Debbie know what remedies would enable her body to help improve these issues. She called me a few months later and told me, ‘I want you to know that I feel like a human again.’ She still has a way to go, but feels like she has a whole new lease on life,” says Page.

“I’ll say it again, because lots of people still just don’t know. Once you give the body what it needs and get rid of the things it doesn’t need, it can heal. And that’s really what fuels us here at the Natural Health Improvement Center. We get so excited when patients with long-term health issues get better. There’s nothing like seeing people living happier lives and knowing that you played an integral role in making that happen,” she adds.
