FeedHealthy World Café Opens in York
Healthy World Café (HWC), a volunteer-based cafeteria-style kitchen, will open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every fourth Wednesday starting in September at First Moravian Church Lunchroom, in York.
The nonprofit HWC offers healthy meals, made from local ingredients, and uses a pay-what-you-can system. People may pay the suggested price, pay more to support the nonprofit or pay less by volunteering their time. The partnership with First Moravian Church will allow HWC to remain open on a regular basis downtown and build upon the success of the Moravian Lunchroom outreach initiative.
