A new, pop-up community event, Second Saturdays at Sonnewald, hosted by Sonnewald Natural Foods from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, through October 8, intends to emulate the spirit of Downtown York’s First Fridays by hosting a wide variety of vendors, live entertainment, outdoor yoga, children’s activities and educational workshops.

Hosted by the Sonnewald Life Institute, Second Saturdays at Sonnewald will be held on the tranquil grounds of the chemical-free Sonnewald Farm. Refreshments will be available for sale at the event. Webmaster Billy Krouse says, “This style of homegrown event offers family-friendly merriment, encourages community building and strengthens the local economy.”
