Mushroom Mania in Harrisburg




The fifth annual MycoSymbiotics Mushroom & Arts Festival will take place from 11 a.m., August 2, through 4:30 p.m., August 4, at Camp Reily, in Harrisburg. This celebration of all things fungi features workshops on basic mushroom biology, cultivation, mycoremediation, innovative uses of fungi, live arts, live music and forays led by local mycophiles.

There will be mycophagies (mushroom tastings), games, dancing, spore print/culture giveaways, a drum circle, fire and lots of networking. This is a communal event focused on ecological education.

New this year, SporeCorp is a team of passionate mycological enthusiasts who have organized several mushroom Festivals together for many years. Their mission is to promote the science of mycology throughout all demographics and communities by increasing the accessibility and diversity within the field of study.
