Popular Faerie Festival Finds New Home

The 28th annual Summer Solstice Faerie Festival, held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 22 and 23,  is moving to a new home at Marshy Point Nature Center, located at 7130 Marshy Point Road, in Baltimore, in partnership with festival founders Spoutwood Farm Center.

Participants are welcome to play in the marsh with the Greenman, Lady Lucy, Mossman and the Marsh Man. The Summer Solstice Faerie Festival will feature live music, dancing, bubbles, magicians, fairies, goblins, renowned craft vendors and winged things both common and uncommon. Activities for humans and fae of all ages include wildlife encounters, parades, drum circles, faerie and gnome villages, storytellers and much more.

Started in 1991 as a small, faerie-themed party at Spoutwood Farm, the country's first faerie festival has grown, changed and spread its wings over the years to become the premier event of its kind.

Adult tickets are $20 (children aged 3 to 12 $5 and children under 3 free) at MarshyPoint.org. Weekend passes to both days are available online only for $30 per adult through Jun. 17. Discounted weekend passes will not be available for purchase at the gate. For more information, visit Spoutwood.org.
