Sponsored by the nonprofit Tashi Gomang Dharma Center of Drepung Gomang, in Louisville, Kentucky, the Sacred Arts Tour of Central Pennsylvania will take place in May. Monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery will be visiting the area between May 9 and 15 and coordinating with local businesses for various activities.

The center is committed to preserving Tibetan culture, traditions and religion. Proceeds of funds raised from the tour help the exiled monastery, located in southern India, to educate, feed, house and care for almost 2,000 exiled Tibetan Monks.

The authentic Tibetan programs offered are a blend of ancient cultural, religious and artistic expressions. A variety of programs are being presented on the tour at various locations. They focus on ancient historic beliefs, artful performances or displays that demonstrate an inspirational combination of Tibetan art, history and sacred traditions that inspire the spirit.
