Om Baby Center, in Camp Hill, supports parents through the journey of pregnancy, childbirth and parenting with a variety of classes that educate and prepare them. Om Baby symbolizes the connection between a parent and baby or child, bringing together a union of mind, body and spirit to affirm this new blessing.

Childbirth Classes

This four-week series is based on a heart-centered approach that pregnancy, labor and birth is a transformative experience. Topics and exercises include creating and preparing for an ideal birth experience, recognizing and understanding the labor process, relaxation and comfort techniques, labor support, understanding options, communication and more.

Prenatal Yoga

This class is designed to be a special opportunity for pregnant women to enjoy each other's company as they learn the wisdom that the ancient practice of yoga contributes to the process of creating life and giving birth. Expectant mothers learn breathing exercises to calm the mind and soothe the nervous system, as well as stretching and strengthening postures that help release and tone the pelvic floor, allowing for an easier birth and enhanced postnatal healing. Through visualizations and meditation, prenatal yoga helps to build a harmonious bridge of contact with the baby during pregnancy and beyond.

Meet the Doulas

This includes an overview of what doulas do, the benefits of doula services and how to find the right doula. Birth doulas from the community participate to answer parents’ questions. Time will also be provided for parents to meet individually with doulas in a “speed dating” format.

Placenta Encapsulation

Dehydrated placenta capsules are an easy, palatable way to give the body the nutrients and hormones it was meant have. Mothers that take placenta capsules have more energy, experience fewer emotional issues and report a faster, more enjoyable postpartum recovery period. Mothers also experience a more deeply connected bonding time with their babies, and often breastfeed for a longer period.

Baby Care Basics

This class includes educational tips on caring for a newborn with Q&A and discussion.

Breastfeeding Workshop

This activity teaches the many benefits of breastfeeding, proper latching techniques, position holding, tips for balancing moms’ needs with the demands of a newborn, when to call the lactation counselor and more.
