New Book Empowers Girls and Women

Licensed Psychologist Cynthia C. Stauffer and Donna R. Styer, professional executive, career and life coach and president of D.R. Styer & Associates, have self-published a new book, Simply Be Your Magnificent Self! A Guide for Empowering Girls and Women, highlighting ways to cultivate extraordinary personal growth in girls throughout their lives. Women can also benefit by applying the action steps. The book encourages readers to show respect for themselves and others by truly listening, making eye contact and being present.

Styer and Stauffer interviewed 100 girls, men and women, and surveyed 1,000 more women. The interviews served as an important piece of the research process because they allowed the authors to explore issues that girls deal with related to school, athletics and society. They also talked with many successful women to learn what helped them navigate through childhood to become confident, strong and accomplished.

The book sells for $16.95 at Midtown Scholar, 1302 N. 3rd St., Harrisburg,; Abrams & Weakly, 3963 N. 6th St., Harrisburg, and online at Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com. For more information, email Cynthia, CStauffer8@comcast.net, or Donna, Coaching@DRSTyer.org.
