Natural Awakenings South Central Pennsylvania

Expressing Gratitude

I am so grateful. As our quote by William Arthur Ward says on page 26, “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” It’s also not lost on me that this issue features Wayne Dyer and his daughter, Serena. Dyer’s books, recordings, seminars and PBS specials have been a cornerstone of my personal growth path since Your Erroneous Zones was published in 1976.

Each month as we create, publish and distribute this magazine, it seems I have a new favorite issue…like this one. I’m grateful for our corporate staff and team of publishers spread across the country. I’m grateful for the local staff that produces and distributes compelling and educational issues with a local focus each month. I’m grateful for our readers who tell us how much they enjoy and appreciate each issue.

What has overwhelmed me the most this month is the appreciation and gratitude I’m feeling for the practitioners, service providers and business owners who share their messages of health, wellness, personal growth and hope. I am blessed to be part of the journey of so many inspiring individuals who have stepped into their calling to share their healing and educational gifts with all of us in South Central Pennsylvania and beyond.

The joy I feel in having introduced this forum to give voice to so many inspiring individuals and businesses validates the struggles and fears that have been overcome as we approach the end of our fourth year. We are blessed as a community and continue to pull together, grow, educate, support and love each other. Yes, I am grateful, and I must deliver this wrapped gift of gratitude by expressing it.

I want to start naming names, but that won’t work too well, because I’ll run out of room or inadvertently miss someone. I’m especially grateful to all of you who have been with the magazine during our first few years; those of you who opened your hearts and minds and supported us when we launched the magazine in March of 2011 and continue to do so.

As I flip the pages and see how much we’ve all grown and how many people have been and will be positively affected by our efforts, I am humbled. I am grateful and proud to be your partner.

With much love I encourage us all to have a Happy Thanksgiving, to look for, find, acknowledge and express the gratitude in our lives and to continue to feel good, live simply and laugh more.
