Intimacy is an important part of a healthy relationship, and each couple may have their own definition of what that comprises. For most, it involves sexual activity, but as we age, this may become difficult for one or both partners. For women, it is may be hormonal shifts that create vaginal dryness and loss of libido. For men, it may also involve hormonal changes, but also can be due to changes in circulatory function or blood flow. Other factors include work-related stress, child rearing or dealing with aging parents. Whatever the cause, there are options.

For women, conventional treatments generally have unpleasant side effects and risks or they are ineffective, but new, innovative therapies are now available that are safer and more effective. The O-Shot is a technique whereby a woman’s own stem cells are used to reinvigorate vaginal tissue. This creates enhanced vaginal lubrication, sensation, orgasms and overall sexual pleasure. It has also been useful for improving urinary incontinence.

For men, pharmaceutical intervention has been available for many years; however, it also carries side effects and risks. The P-Shot, or Priapus Shot, is a more natural therapy. This treatment helps the penis form new blood vessels and nerve supply. This improves the quality of erection, size of the penis and sensation, thereby improving overall sexual performance and pleasure.

Another technique utilizing platelet-rich plasma/stem cell therapy is available for female breast enhancement, known colloquially as the Vampire Breast Lift. This procedure helps add new fullness to the breast, as well as enhance sensitivity for women that desire this benefit.

Women and men that want to recharge their intimacy or improve an already good intimate relationship will want to learn more about the new therapies available.
