Yoga for Life Supports American Cancer Society

Yoga for Life, on October 28, is a day to explore the benefits of yoga while supporting the American Cancer Society. This is the first time that four area yoga studios: Gaia Kosha Yogic Spa, The Center at Ragged Edge, KimFit and Yoga at Penn National, will present a variety of yoga class options to the public under one roof with all proceeds benefitting the cancer society at the Norlo Park Community Center. This event represents an opportunity for all that have come to appreciate the benefits of a yoga practice to help demonstrate that everyone can do yoga and find a local yoga studio to suit their needs.

By raising funds for cancer research, the event demonstrates that a yoga practice often embraces seva (selfless service). The idea originated with longtime breast cancer survivor and yoga student Bev Kristine. Through yoga and meditation, she found a way to stay focused more on “what is” than “what if” and has continued to pursue this practice for nearly 25 years of cancer-free living.

Location: 3050 Lincoln Way, East Fayetteville, PA. For more information, call Kristine at 717-749-3581, email [email protected] or visit  Facebook.com/yogaforlifefranklincountypa.
