Mindfulness Matters Talks in Camp Hill

Andrea Minick Rudolph

Andrea Minick Rudolph, founder and executive director of Oryoki Zendo, in Camp Hill, will host Mindfulness Matters, a series of talks from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. on the first Sunday of each month through May 2018 at Fredericksen Library. Dates include October 1, November 5, December 3, January 7, 2018, February 4, March 4, April 1 and May 6.

“This series of interrelated seminars leads participants along the path of mindfulness and meditation; specifically, the practical application of mindfulness techniques in our daily lives,”, says Rudolph. “Each seminar stands alone as an important topic for lifestyle change, while also serving an integral building block in the structure of the overall program.”

Mindfulness and meditation techniques have been scientifically proven to increase memory, enhance ability to focus clearly, lower blood pressure, decrease the stress response and increase overall wellness. With mindfulness practices, we become kinder, more compassionate and more able to make responsible choices to live happier, healthier lives.
