Really Relax in a Flotation Pod

Life’s Diversion Float and Relaxation Spa, which opened in December in Manchester to provide affordable float therapy, one of the most unique and amazing experiences out there, especially as a means of stress relief, relaxation and pain relief.

Owner John Suprik says, “Spending time doing some self-reflection, especially in a sensory reduced environment, can make it easier to slow down, look within and clear your mind. Everyone can benefit from taking time to unplug, reset and take better care of themselves.”

Float therapy, or sensory deprivation, uses a large pod filled with approximately 10 inches of purified water heated to 93.5 degrees and saturated with 1,000 pounds of high-grade medical Epsom salt, which enables users to float safely and effortlessly on the surface. Sound and light are muted.

“Our minds are programmed to pay attention to all the stimuli around us, whether consciously or subconsciously. The body will experience near zero-gravity pull, allowing the spine and joints to decompress,” notes Suprik. “Also, the mind slows down, causing the body to go into a state of total relaxation.”

Prices start at $49. Location: 4350 N. George St. Ext., Manchester, PA. For more information, call 717-858-5662, email Info@LifesDiversionFloat
