We Are All Connected

It’s an unusually cold autumn afternoon as I stare at the blue sky, my feet firmly planted on the ground. The brisk wind moves grey clouds while a few late leaves shake on mostly bare branches. It doesn’t feel as if I’m moving—I mean, I can’t sense any movement around me—yet I know, or at least I believe, the planet is spinning on its axis as it circles around the sun at a relatively massive rate of speed. Yes, I’m riding on a globe, literally spinning like a top as it hurtles through space. Yet I’m mostly unable to perceive my ride on this vehicle called Earth.

Similarly, I am a multi-dimensional being with the innate capacity to access consciousness on multiple levels, including physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual. Yet I’m often unable to perceive the full depth and extent of my conscious capacity as I ride through my life journey in this vehicle called the human body/mind/spirit.

Does my inability to feel the world hurtling through space mean that it is not moving? Does my inability to know the capacity of my consciousness mean that it is not vast? These are interesting questions for the philosophers and metaphysicians among us. This month’s feature by Linda Seachrist has me contemplating the possibility of light on the horizon pointing toward the evolution of our collective consciousness. She and others portend that we are at a spiritual tipping point as a species.

Even though we may be largely unaware of it, science, in the form of quantum field psychology, is showing us that everything in the universe is made of the same light, material and consciousness, and that everything and everyone is connected through and within this consciousness.

The time is now for each of us to focus on our personal transformation toward an individual awakening, while a collective movement toward the scientific understanding of our fundamental oneness is gaining momentum at the same time. Together, these actions can foster meaningful social transformation.

During the holidays and throughout the year, you are invited to do your part to raise your vibration, (yoga, reiki, meditation, breath work, nutrition, sleep, self-awareness, emotional literacy, relationship, open and effective communication) to see and seek the interconnectedness of all people and all things, and to lead with and live in love as we all strive to feel good, life simply and laugh more
