True Prosperity is More than Money

Reverend Elaine Torrance-Gingrich’s life took a turn when she was widowed at 42. A stay-at-home mother who had shared her life with her husband for 20 years, she was suddenly solely responsible for three daughters. With understanding and support, she came to believe that each of us creates our own reality and revealed her divine self, the goddess within. Torrance-Gingrich is now known as the goddess of laughter and possibilities, mentoring highly sensitive women to embrace their goddess energies, leverage their highly sensitive strengths and live their best lives.

“True prosperity is about more than financial security,” says Torrance-Gingrich. “It’s about living life as a blended being and understanding that although you are having human experiences, you are actually an embodied spirit. True prosperity is happiness, well-being, contentedness, feeling good in the body that you inhabit and being connected to who you really are.”

Explaining how beliefs affect true prosperity, she advises, “You get what you think. What you focus on, you bring into your life. This is the Law of Attraction. It’s like tuning a radio dial. You won’t hear Beethoven if your dial is tuned to the heavy metal station. If you want to live a prosperous life, you have to think thoughts of abundance. Having a vision is like having a roadmap. To get from point A to point B, you have to know where the points are. The vision helps you understand where you are and where you want to go.”

Torrance-Gingrich gives her advice on getting started on this path. “Some people can successfully engage in self-guided study. Others need the extra support provided by a mentor who has walked this path before. An abundance mindset is a totally new way of thinking for most people. It’s a more gentle way of thinking and living, moving with spirit’s wisdom and using the flow of the universe to create softer, unforced change.”

She notes that vision boards can help with this change, as can daily written gratitude practice. “Any creative project can promote true prosperity, as long as it’s fun. It should feel good while you’re doing it; if it doesn’t, it’s not the right tool for you.”

Torrance-Gingrich is very big on laughter, saying, “Laughter is an instantaneous energy shifter. You cannot be in a negative space and laugh. Laughter really is the best medicine, releasing feel-good chemicals in the body. When you feel good, everything else comes together.”

She says her three favorite ways to get laughing are, “Do something that brings you joy every single day; head to YouTube for a video of your favorite comedian or read a funny book; and tell jokes with the people you love, maybe at the dinner table with family or on a scheduled girls’ night out.”
