Expos Urge Women to Take a Day to Indulge Themselves




The Women’s Expo, a blend of information, entertainment, shopping, socializing, learning and fun, is returning to Lebanon and Cumberland counties this fall. The sixth annual Lebanon County Women’s Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., October 6, at the Lebanon Expo Center. The seventh annual Cumberland County Women’s Expo will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., November 10, at the Carlisle Expo Center.

More than 80 exhibitors will be on hand at each event, covering many facets of a woman’s life and interests in health and wellness, home improvement, finances, beauty, fitness and more. There will be live demonstrations and presentations, giveaways and door prizes. Guests can also take advantage of exclusive product offerings from exhibitors ranging from skin care, home and garden, cosmetics and pets to fashion and accessories, nutrition and jewelry.

At the Lebanon Expo, WellSpan Health will offer a range of free seminars and health screenings for osteoporosis, varicose veins, sleep apnea and other conditions. AAA Central Penn will conduct an informative demonstration of how to travel securely, comfortably and simply, and learning how to efficiently pack essential items, plus showcase a variety of personal travel bags that are innovative, yet stylish. Handwriting expert Mitzi Jones will explain why handwriting is still important in today’s digital world, as well as what a person’s handwriting says about them.

At the Cumberland County  Expo, visitors can experience wine samples from Castlerigg Wine Shop and hear from Jones. Michael A. Hasco, from Stauffers of Kissel Hill, in Mechanicsburg, will show how to create a seasonal mixed container of annuals and perennials, and Leigh Wisotzkey, owner of Studio Solomon, in Lemoyne, will demonstrate simple self-defense and escape techniques.
