Volunteers Needed for Fall Tree Plantings

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay will plant nearly 1,500 trees along streams this fall in four events, and volunteers are needed.

Hampden Township: 1 to 4 p.m., October 28 (232 trees)

Greencastle: 9 a.m. to noon, November 4 (600 trees)

Christiana: 1 to 4 p.m., November 11 (300 trees)

Gordonville; 9 a.m. to noon, November 17 (350 trees)

Volunteering is a great way to take action and get involved in the Alliance’s critical work to restore and protect the bay and its watershed lands, creeks, rivers and streams.  Volunteers are at the heart and soul of the mission to lead and inspire those that live and work throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed to become true environmental stewards.

The Alliance is dedicated to restoring the Chesapeake Bay’s rivers and streams through partnerships, collaboration and individual and community stewardship.
