Forest Bathing at Michaux State Forest

Join Forest Therapy Guide Michele Burton for an impactful Forest Therapy walk that will cover no more than a half mile in Michaux State Forest. Plan for the experience to take around 2 - 3 hours. No prior outdoor experience necessary - if you can walk you can forest bath! Dress weather appropriately, warm layers, something to sit on and a hat is recommended. Directions to Michaux parking area (coming from Carlisle): - Follow GPS to Pine Grove Furnace State Park. - From the intersection of 233 and Pine Grove Rd (Park Office) continue on 233 South. - From that intersection (Park Office), drive 1.5 miles south on 233 and then turn Right onto Michaux Rd. - Follow Michaux Rd 1.3 miles until you reach a parking lot for the old POW camp on your right Or follow your GPS to Camp Michaux in Newville Meet the group at the parking lot by by 2:50.
