Grow Your Own Microgreens
Learn how to raise nutritious baby vegetables indoors!

Microgreens are young and tender vegetables often referred to as a "super food" because of their nutritional value. A few examples of popular microgreens are sunflowers, peas, broccoli, radishes, kale, beets, swiss chard, and mustard. But unlike the conventional versions of these vegetables, microgreens can be grown at any time of the year, offering high yields, fast turnarounds, and organic growing conditions.
This hands-on class will cover all the basics of microgreens: from nutritional benefits and culinary applications to creating a growing environment, seed preparation, sowing, plant care, harvesting, and storage. As we walk through the growing process together, you will get to prepare your own 10x20 tray of microgreens to take home for care and consumption.
This class is designed for anyone interested in growing their own nutritious and organic food regardless of indoor space limitations. The instruction will also benefit individuals who may be interested in starting a small-scale growing operation.
