Carolyn Romako Expands Wellness Services in Mechanicsburg




Central Penn Acupuncture and Wellness, formerly Romako Acupuncture, owned by Licensed Acupuncturist Carolyn Romako, has opened a new, convenient location at 940 Century Drive, Suite D, in Mechanicsburg, with a new practitioner, Licensed Acupuncturist Pamela Howard, from Virginia. The new location will allow for extended hours, including evenings and weekends. Parking is convenient and handicap-accessible. The larger rooms will allow for group seminars and classes.

Romako has been serving the West Shore for six years with a focus on pain, sports medicine, women’s health-including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopausal support, and is expanding to offer more services, products, seminars and group events. Howard offers several new specialties, eye conditions, cosmetic treatments, fibromyalgia and women’s health. She has a particular interest in treating fibromyalgia patients.

Both practice evidence-based medicine, hold master’s degrees in acupuncture, are nationally board certified and also certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine, and are continually increasing their knowledge of the recent scientific evidence to support acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
