Train Smarter, Move Better, Feel Good

At One Location in Camp Hill

Zang Physical Therapy, Absolute Pilates and Reach recently joined forces to serve the community better at 3514 Trindle Road, in Camp Hill, and offer physical therapy, Pilates, personal training and nutritional coaching at one location.

According to Allison Zang, instructor and owner of Absolute Pilates, all three businesses have interconnected space within the building. Andrew Zang, owner of Zang Physical Therapy, says the shared space maximizes client’s time and efficiency. Don Larkin and Charlene Hinish, the owners and personal trainers at Reach who have more than 20 years of combined experience, concur.

“Our setup allows clients to see physical therapy sessions and other training activities, as well as Pilates classes, since the studio is separated by a hallway, rather than a door,” explains Allison. “Training clients may have heard of Pilates, but may not know what happens during Pilates sessions or classes. Our location lets them observe different types of movement, training and physical therapy treatment programs, which encourages clients to partake of other offerings within the building.”

Andrew provides hands-on, one-on-one manual therapy in his treatment room. His follow-up activities and movement therapy occur in the Reach training studio. “When clients finish rehabilitation with me, they can work with Allison, Don and Charlene if they have additional goals or interests,” he says. “I can recommend exercises and suggest what to avoid in order to enhance the movement that was gained through the client’s physical therapy experience.”

“The exercise programs designed by Allison, Don and Charlene are excellent complements to my physical therapy treatment plans,” explains Andrew. “For example, a client that had limited mobility and worked with me to improve functional knee motion and increase mobility can then see Don for strength training.”

As fitness professionals, Larkin and Hinish are more than personal trainers. Larkin specializes in multi-sport endurance coaching; Hinish specializes in nutritional/wellness coaching. “Part of our philosophy is that we are another set of eyes helping people to manage their overall health and wellness. If we notice that something else is going on, we refer clients to Andrew and other healthcare providers. From the client-care perspective, we offer a service that no one else can,” says Larkin.

“The comfort level for referrals is unique, because Andrew and Allison’s clients see us working with our clients and vice-versa. Professional trust has already been established,” shares Hinish.

“The greatest benefit is for individuals to have their health and wellness needs met under one roof,” explains Andrew. “We know that clients will be well-cared for when we refer to one another.”

“With our joint efforts to help people train smarter, move better and feel good, there’s no limit to what they can achieve,” enthuses Larkin.
