Commonly Overlooked owner Bailey Obermeier says, “Despite the cold, houseplants are growing in Central Market in York! Commonly Overlooked is moving into Central Market in York on February 1.”

Obermeier explains, “The past few years I was on a healing journey after sustaining a head injury from an accident involving a tractor trailer. I came to find my healing in nature. (growing my own food, flowers, houseplants, etc.) Another huge element in healing for me was finding joy in the mundane, aka the commonly overlooked. I’m beyond excited to help others find their own healing in ways they have yet to unlock, just like what happened to me! I love all things eco-friendly and conscious of the environment.”

The business has become known for funky pots/vessels. There is a potting bar where customers can pick a plant, pick a pot and pot it, as well as a plant cutting and book swap.

Cost is $15 to $20 for the first creation and $10 for each additional. Location: 34 W. Philadelphia St., York. For more information, call 717-940-2881, email [email protected] or visit Tinyurl.com/CommonlyOverlooked.
