Matters of the Heart Counseling, LLC hosts 2 foster/adoptive parent support groups on a monthly basis.  One meets from 6:30-8pm on the 4th Monday of the month at Wheatland Presbyterian, located at 1125 Columbia Avenue in Lancaster.  This group is led by adoptive parent and therapist, Dan Grubb, LPC.  The other group meets from 6:30 to 8pm on the 3rd Monday of the month at State & Main 1987 State Street East Petersburg, PA and is facilitated by an adoptive parent. 

Foster and adoptive parents have the unique challenge of parenting children who have experienced trauma.  This uniqueness is understood by a few, and we want to support families in this journey.  

Cost is $20 per person or $30 per couple.  Costs may be covered through post-adoption supports.  For more information please contact us at [email protected].
