The Unknown Muscle Massage & Wellness, a co-op of licensed therapists and bodyworkers, is now open in York. The general public is invited to attend a grand opening ceremony and open house on November 14. Individuals attending will have the opportunity to gather more information about practitioners and services, receive a free chair massage and meet the five therapists specializing in techniques such as hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy, myofascial release, Reiki and others.

The practitioners currently include Denise Bostdorf, a licensed massage therapist (LMT); Kimberley Robinson, LMT, nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork; Penny Testerman, LMT; Heather Jovanelly; and Brenda Dettrey. Their intent is to help people of all ages find their way to a more relaxed and clear mind, pliable and pain-free muscles and a restored sense of spirit. Wellness-related classes, including couples massage, Tai Chi and aromatherapy use, will be offered to the community throughout the year.
