Whole Life Boost Expands Community Involvement and Products

L to R: Scott McCloskey and Chris Engel, Whole Life Boost; Ana Sofia Joanes, director of movie FRESH

Chris Engel, owner of Whole Life Boost, a natural health food store and smoothie bar in Old Tollgate Village, in York, kicked off efforts to expand the store’s involvement in education and community events with platinum sponsorship of the York Local Food Summit, November 7, at the York 4-H Center. After the event, Engel noted, “I realized today that there is a strong and growing network of individuals who are committed to healthy and sustainable, local, organic food production in the region. We are glad to join the effort by offering education and community support at Whole Lift Boost.”

Whole Life Boost, formerly Good Stewards Natural Foods, has increased its available products to comprise lines of nutritional supplements, vitamins, healthy living products and local produce, including eggs and raw milk. “We are constantly adding new products, based on customer demand; however, the focus of the store is on education,” says Engel. “We provide an atmosphere that is laid-back and promotes easy learning for individuals who are interested in transitioning to a healthier lifestyle. Classes on popular topics are being developed for introduction in the spring, and regularly scheduled healthy cooking classes are also on the way. We offer ongoing education as the cornerstone of helping people lead healthier lives.”
