Acupuncture for animals is now available at Avian and Feline Hospital, a holistic and integrative veterinary hospital in Camp Hill. To introduce the modality, acupuncture treatments will be discounted by 50 percent during the month of May.

Dr. Linda T. Stern, owner, says acupuncture is effective as a stand-alone treatment or can be combined with other therapies for pain, inflammation, immune system support and other health conditions. “It is a holistic and non-harmful alternative to hardcore Western medicine drug therapy, which often has a multitude of secondary effects on the animal.”

Avian and Feline Hospital offers full-service holistic and integrative care for cats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, reptiles and other small and exotic mammals. Holistic care for dogs is performed on a limited basis, and house calls are offered under certain circumstances.
