Dr. Daisy Hawkins, owner and CEO of Total Health Ministries, in Mechanicsburg, was a naturopath, an herbalist and in prior years, a colon hydrotherapy instructor. She passed unexpectedly on April 5, 2011, according to her daughter, Cheryl Hawkins.

Cheryl shares: “She was a woman of integrity and stature, yet her presence was quiet and mild-mannered. People all over the world spoke of how she helped them conquer their illnesses.” Cheryl adds that “Dr. Daisy,” as she was affectionately known, was a common name among many great healers. Her mentors included Dr. Bernard Jensen, Dr. Hulda Clark and Ed Bashaw.

According to Cheryl, Dr. Daisy put her heart, soul and mind equally into holistic health and her faith. Her first love was her herb and flower gardens, where she would spend countless hours. Her second love was spending winter seasons on a cruise ship – sailing 60 days straight in the Pacific Ocean or 40 days in the Caribbean Sea. She loved traveling and visited destinations including Austria, Alaska, Hawaii, Jerusalem, the Mediterranean and more.

“She will be greatly missed. She never gave up on the holistic approach, and was a fighter to the very end,” declares Cheryl. “Her legacy will go on in the hearts of those who allowed her to share her knowledge, passion and warmth.”

Cheryl shares her love and gratitude to her mother: “Thank you, mom, for being the greatest and best mentor in my life.”
