Husband and wife certified personal trainers Steve and René Gregg have opened Core Results Personal Training & Yoga Studio in Harrisburg. The private studio offers one-on-one personal training, boot-camp style training, yoga, Zumba and self-defense classes.
The studio offers functional strength training, in which one’s own body weight is used, along with free weights, cables, steps and other techniques, to achieve effective results for people at all levels of fitness. Rene says that using this method led to their studio’s motto: “We don’t depend on a machine. We become the machine.”
The private setting allows clients to be trained without the pressure of a large crowd. Yoga and Zumba classes accommodate a maximum of 14 people, and boot camp training is offered in groups of six or fewer. “It is important to us to keep the number of students limited, so that we can give the proper attention to everyone,” says René.
Core Results Studio offers such state-of-the-art equipment as a Life Fitness cable system and a rowing machine that uses water for resistance—the only one of its kind in the area. Other equipment includes treadmills, elliptical machine, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, a squat rack and more.
From 12 to 3 p.m., July 23, Core Results will host a fundraiser for Feel Your Boobies, a nonprofit organization with a mission to create unexpected and unconventional annual campaigns reminding young women to conduct breast self-examinations. Cost is $10 per person, and all proceeds go to the organization.
