Food Therapy Now at The Healthy Living Kitchen

Michelle C. Wohlfarth

Michelle C. Wohlfarth, a holistic health educator at The Healthy Living Kitchen, in Hummelstown, recently earned certification in food therapy from The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts, in New York City, where she studied under the Institute’s founder, Annemarie Colbin, Ph.D.

Accredited by the Association of Drugless Practitioners, Wohlfarth offers group and individual consultations and cooking classes that help people recover and maintain health. Her certification complements credentials as a Holistic Health Counselor from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, in New York and her completion of the Master Chef Series under Chef Peter Berley, at Culinary Arts, from The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts, in New York.

Her objective is to use food therapies that support the rest of her practice and offer her clients additional ways to make changes that favor their health and well-being. “We addressed theoretical and practical approaches to why people get sick, and then approaches to what can make them well,” says Wohlfarth. “We also learned all the dietary methods to assisting in disease recovery, immune building, weight management techniques, home remedies [and the] mind-body connection.”
