Dogs in the Outdoors Photo Contest
Aug 31, 2011 10:28AM
The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation (PPFF) is holding a photo contest featuring canines in state parks and state forests. The contest will be judged by popular vote on the PPFF Facebook page. Deadline for submission of photos is September 9.
Four different categories are available and three placements from each category will be awarded, with the Best of the Best chosen from the top winner in each category. The Best of the Best will printed on the cover of the PPFF fall newsletter. The top three winners in each category will also be featured on the foundation’s website and Facebook page.
Categories include Contemplation, which shows dogs enjoying the quiet moments found in nature; Action, which shows canines romping in the state parks and forests; Canines as Companions, with shots that show interaction with people, children, or other breeds of dogs or animals; and Puppies.
Prizes include a gift card for a weekend of camping at a Pennsylvania state park and a year membership to PPFF for the Top Dog. First place receives a gift card for one night of camping and a one-year membership to the foundation; second place gets a PPFF ball cap and PDFF membership and third place earns a PPFF membership. For each prize category, the canine subject will receive a prize, as well.
