Becky Thoroughgood, L.Ac., owner of WellPoint Acupuncture, in Harrisburg, has enrolled in a post-baccalaureate Chinese herb certificate program at the TAI-Sophia Institute, in Laurel, Maryland.
This unique program integrates Five Element constitutional diagnosis into a deep understanding of classical Chinese medical perspectives. The program traces the history of ideas in Chinese herbal medicine from the classics to contemporary use, and includes a comprehensive didactic component, as well as an expanded clinical rotation. Thoroughgood is expected to complete the course in 2013 and expand her services to include a more in-depth offering of Chinese herbal medicine, as well as coaching in Chinese dietary therapy.
Since 2003, WellPoint Acupuncture has provided clients with an all-natural, effective way to help relieve pain, increase energy and address the root causes of health concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, allergies, asthma, insomnia, poor sleep and much more.
