Cultivating Peacefulness & Compassion

How might our perception of our lives shift if we made time everyday to reflect on the blessings in our lives? It is so easy to get swept up in life’s busy-ness and stress that we often let the more important things fall by the wayside.

This is why we practice yoga—to reconnect to the things in our lives that nourish the spirit and cultivate peacefulness, all so that we have the ability to extend compassion into ourselves and out to others, without limitation. The world is calling for us to be the best people we can be now. Out with fear, meanness and holding ourselves back. Out with violence to our earth and its people. Out with all that is no longer serving us!

I offer you this mantra. May it help you to reconnect with the blessings that nourish your spirit:

I open myself to abundance and blessings in all ways. I embrace challenges as they come and honor them for the growth they provide. I commit to carving out time in my life for rest, reflection and self-care. I open to all that is good, true and beautiful in this world. I open to healing. I open to LOVE.

Namaste.
