Awakening The Dreamer Workshop Supports Culture-Change

A powerful workshop —Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream— that explores new ways of seeing environmental, sustainability and social justice challenges, as well as the opportunities of the early 2lst century, will be presented from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 24, at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, in York.

Through video clips, participants will hear from farsighted world leaders about the planet’s dwindling biodiversity, growing socioeconomic gaps and an emerging global movement toward more sustainable, fulfilling and just societies and the exciting new possibilities of our time.

This event includes lively group discussion and provides participants with practical tools for creating effective, positive change. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to share their concerns about the state of the world with like-minded members of their community, while offering support to each other in taking steps to effect the changes that they wish to see.

The symposium is an initiative of the Pachamama Alliance, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization with a mission to preserve the Earth’s tropical rainforests by empowering the indigenous peoples that are its natural custodians, and to contribute to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all.
