Dr. Jeffrey J. Backenstoes, DO, recently completed fellowship and advanced fellowship training and is now board certified in anti-aging, regenerative and functional medicine, through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He is now dual board certified, along with his prior internal medicine certification.

Backenstoes is now board certified in the latest integrative approaches to achieving optimal health and wellness, including Anti-Aging Medicine, a medical specialty aimed at the early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of age-related decline: Regenerative Medicine, a medical specialty aimed at optimizing the body’s mechanisms of self-repair; and Functional Medicine, an integrative, science-based approach that treats illness and promotes wellness by focusing on the unique aspects of each patient, and then individually tailoring interventions to restore balance.
