Alta View Wellness Center is expanding its training focus to provide certified continuing education credits for professional massage therapists in the state of Pennsylvania. Nationally certified by the National Board of Massage and Body Workers in Chicago Illinois and by the Pennsylvania State Board of Massage Therapy, class offerings currently include Reiki, aromatherapy, prenatal massage, cupping and ethics. In fall 2012 they will add a workshop intensive, Follow your Heart~ Do it Smart seminar to aid holistic practitioners start or expand their practice.

Alta View Wellness Center owner Sharon Muzio points out that as of January, all massage therapists in the state of Pennsylvania are required to be licensed by the Pennsylvania Massage Board. She says, “This is a step in the direction of standardizing our profession on a state level. All licensed massage therapists are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years in order to maintain their license. Offering classes in Lower Paxton Township enables massage therapists in central Pennsylvania convenient access to quality classes at affordable prices, without the hassle of distance travel, costly parking and road tolls.
