Weed Walk with Grace

Grace Lefever

For more than 30 years, Grace Lefever has hosted weed walks at Sonnewald Natural Foods, and this year is no exception. Throughout the months of May and June, Lefever will continue the tradition of leading visitors on a casual stroll around the Sonnewald property to understand the value of plants growing in our local area. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to identify and use edible and medicinal plants, smell, touch and taste these plants, discover ways to incorporate the plants in their diet and much more.

Over the years, Lefever’s endless quest for knowledge and prolific reading has qualified her to be an effective teacher on many aspects of personal and planetary health. Thousands of people, both local and international, have been educated and inspired by her popular weed walks.

Located on a 60-acre farm in York County, Sonnewald Natural Foods is one of the oldest existing chemical-free farms and natural food stores in Pennsylvania. Sonnewald has been providing natural, organic and sustainably produced products, nutritional information and education since 1955.
