New COO Joins Farmers’ Market
Terrence Downs has been named the chief operations officer for the Market & Penn Farmers’ Market, in York. His role will entail the marketing and management of the Farmers’ Market Company, as well as overseeing renovations and improvements of the historic market house building.
Downs is a native York resident, working in adaptive reuse and preservation efforts for various construction and architectural firms and in name for himself, responsible for the restoration of many landmarks and locations around York and Central Pennsylvania. A 1979 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and 1980 alumnus of York Technical Institute, he also is a 1998 graduate of Leadership York, and currently serves as co-chair of the nonprofit York Historic Farmers’ Market Association.
