Acupuncture for Active Military and Veterans

Jill Levine, owner of the Acupuncture Wellness Center, in Hershey, has completed training with Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB) to provide acupuncture treatments that address trauma relief and recovery in the event of natural disaster in areas all over the world. She will be offering free, community-style acupuncture treatments as part of the AWB Military Stress Recovery Project to active military service personnel and veterans from 4 to 5 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m., Wednesdays, beginning August 1. A session lasts 30 to 45 minutes.

To accommodate larger groups, all clients are treated in the same room at the same time. Each session accommodates 10 people, and an appointment is necessary. Levine says the treatment is excellent for those experiencing stress of any kind, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or addictions.
