Natural Awakenings South Central Pennsylvania

Celebrate at the Dog Days of Summer Festival

Palmyra Real Food Emporium, Bee’s Juice Bar and the Subwich & Soup Base will host the first annual Dog Days of Summer Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., August 18, at Palmyra Real Food Emporium.

The festival will feature live bluegrass music, door prizes and food on the lawn. Those in attendance can purchase a grazing permit: an all-you-can-eat ticket to sample chicken, beef, pork sausage, roasted corn and other vegetables, salads, salsas, dips, raw milk, iced teas, raw/vegan foods and more. Guests also have the opportunity to meet some of the Emporium’s suppliers, as well as their new resident chiropractor, Dr. Micah Dunn, who will be offering complimentary adjustments.

The Emporium brings local, farm-fresh food and specialty products to residents of Central Pennsylvania. All products are organic, grass-fed, free-range and/or chemical and hormone-free, and many items are gluten-free. Located within the Emporium, Bee’s Juice Bar features smoothies, juices and other raw and vegan foods, and the Subwich & Soup Base serves fresh, natural, organic subs, soups, sandwiches, salads and breakfast.

Cost: Grazing permit is $5 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 10, under 6 free. Location: 707 E. Broad St., Palmyra. For more information, call 717-383-0028 or visit PalmyraRealFood.com.
