Fundraiser Benefits Agricultural Education

A Seasonal Eat and Meet to benefit the Horn Farm Center for Agricultural Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing and interpreting the rich heritage, viable present and exciting future of York County agriculture, will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m., September 18, at John Wright Store and Restaurant, in Wrightsville.

Guests can learn about and see how the Buy Fresh Buy local concept works within the community and dine in locally grown, seasonal foods straight from the source and prepared by the chefs of John Wright Restaurant. The menu includes pizza prepared in the restaurant’s wood-fired oven using local ingredients and a sampling of the native, American fruit, pawpaw. Attendees can also meet the Horn Farm Center Board of Directors, incubator farmers, producers and chefs that bring their passion for local produce to their community.
