Nina Hamilton

Main Street Power Yoga, the first heated yoga, Pilates and barre studio in the historic district of downtown Mechanicsburg, will host a grand opening community event from 6 to 9 p.m., November 2, at 35 West Main Street. Guests can tour the new studio, gather information, pick up copies of the schedule and enjoy food and drinks. Special pricing on packages will also be offered.

On November 3, several free classes will be offered, including Pilates from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m., a barre class from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and power yoga from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Another free power yoga class will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m., November 4, along with karma yoga, a donation-based community class, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Nina Hamilton, owner and yoga instructor, teaches a Baptiste-inspired style of power yoga and Susan Olivetti is a barre and Pilates instructor. Hamilton says that she is committed to bringing yoga to the local community and surrounding areas. “It means the world to me that our small town shows up big, steps out of their comfort zone and embraces and commits to a powerful form of yoga,” she says.
