At Tranquility Salon and Wellness Center, in Carlisle, beauty and wellness come together to provide individuals with a relaxing, memorable experience. As an Aveda concept salon, Tranquility is dedicated to caring for people and the planet. They strive to set an example for environmental leadership and responsibility by creating a natural environment that pampers the soul.
Jaime Freet is one staff member that is crucial in helping achieve that mission. As the salon’s educational coordinator and color specialist, Freet attends numerous Aveda education courses to perfect her skills and stay at the forefront of trends. She then trains other Tranquility personnel in the techniques for which she becomes certified. To date, she holds certifications in hair color systems, hair color solutions, merging color, pure foiling and salon styling essentials.
Freet says that continuing education is a crucial step in creating an extraordinary visit for the salon’s clients. “We stay current on the latest trends and techniques in cut, color and style,” she explains. “Hair color, for example, has evolved so much over the years that it’s important to not get stuck doing the same thing with the same products.”
Committed to using natural products throughout the salon, Freet is also a certified organic extensions technician. Using 100 percent human hair that is fused with an organic bond, from Cinderella Hair, clients can expect extensions to last a minimum of four to six months. “Extensions are quite the commitment, so it’s important to have them done by a professional that has been properly trained and can educate the client about proper care for longer wear,” she notes.
In addition to a wide range of salon services, Tranquility also boasts Pennsylvania's first Himalayan salt cave, ionic foot detox cleanse, massage therapy, Aveda facials and skin care, ear candling, waxing and an oxygen bar. “Our goal is to create a natural, friendly atmosphere that allows our clients to take the time to stop, breathe and take advantage of services that allow them to release tensions, toxins and stresses,” says Freet.
