Just Plain Yoga Hosts Meditation Retreat
Jan 02, 2013 08:35PM
Just Plain Yoga Studio, in Camp Hill, will host a 28-hour silent meditation retreat from 5:30 a.m., January 19, to 8 a.m., January 20. The retreat, led by owner and meditation teacher Ron Blouch, will be the first in a series of quarterly events held this year, following the success of the first 28-hour meditation held last summer.
The winter retreat features a single, simple meditative practice, performed consistently during multiple 90- and 60-minute sessions over many hours, within the solitude of a distraction free space. It is the only event of its kind in Central Pennsylvania—appropriate for anyone at any meditative level of experience, including beginners and those that have never meditated. Participants will be meditating on the sensation of the breath at the nostrils, sitting on the floor using cushions or a meditation bench.
Established in 2003, Just Plain Yoga is a multi-style yoga space with two full studios offering vinyasa/ashtanga yoga, yoga for beginners, hatha yoga, easy hatha yoga, Iyengar yoga, meditation, PraYa vinyasa flow, hatha yoga flow, workshops, special events and more.
Cost: $100, new students; $50, returning students. Full and partial scholarships are available. Location: 1845 Market St., Camp Hill. For more information, call 717-975-9642, email [email protected] or visit JustPlainYoga.com.
