Time2BFit Seminar Empowers Women
Mar 26, 2013 03:20PM
Time2BFit, a women’s fitness seminar designed to give participants the tools to get started on a healthier lifestyle, will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 6, at the Radisson Penn Harris, in Camp Hill.
The conference will cover the importance of nutrition and strength training, hormonal issues facing women and how the power of the mind can unleash one’s inner excellence. Jill Baun, president of Wicks Educational Associates, was inspired to establish Time2BFit after attending a fitness camp in California hosted by Monica Brandt, a professional figure competitor.
“Like many women, I was always putting others’ needs before my own,” she says. “I was balancing home, career and kids, and that didn’t leave much time for me.” At 50, she attended the camp, and one year later, Baun was stepping on stage for her first figure show—something she never expected. “I was very insecure, but I’ve learned that even small changes can make a big difference. I want to share that with other women.”
The event will include a series of five presentations designed to empower women. Doreen Lecheler, a best-selling author, personal development expert and cancer conqueror, will present How to Unleash Your Inner Excellence. Jennifer Gault, of Gault Wellness Center, will show women how to make healthy choices during Foods for Life. In Strength Training and Cardio Fitness for Women, Fitness Director and Personal Trainer Jami Shields will lead demonstrations and get people out of their chairs. Dawn Hiestand will lead The Hormonal Shift and Stress Management, and Carmen Kitts, an aesthetic registered nurse, will present In With Skin, providing valuable tools for healthy looking skin at any age.
The day will include a fashion show, numerous exhibitors, great giveaways, gift bags for all attendees and more.
“The whole point is to help people feel good about themselves,” states Baun. “We want to give them the tools and resources necessary to be the best they can be. The sky is the limit.”
