The Riverboat Society is offering free admission on any 45-minute public sightseeing cruise to veterans, active duty members of the military and their immediate families, during the 2013 season. The Pride of the Susquehanna riverboat cruises occur daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and on weekends during the fall.

This upcoming summer season, a biodegradable non-toxic hydraulic fluid will be utilized to propel the twin stern paddlewheels on the paddlewheel riverboat boat. The hydraulic fluid uses vegetable oil base stocks and was formulated specifically to address environmental concerns.  The lubricant not only protects the vessels machine parts, but also protects the environmental marine basin and aquatics of the Susquehanna River.
