Two new massage therapists, Amelia Surratt, LMT, and Jessie Youtz, LMT, have joined the team of therapists at The Unknown Muscle Massage and Wellness, in York, and they are offering new client specials at $45 an hour. They will also be giving free chair massages during the Springettsbury Park concert events at 7 p.m., July 24 and 28, at 1501 Mt. Zion Road, in York.

Both therapists are graduates of the Baltimore School of Massage. Surratt specializes in Swedish massage, often integrating stretching, reflexology, deep tissue and cranial massage into her sessions. She is passionate about promoting massage as an alternative to surgery or harmful medications.

Youtz has been a practicing massage therapist since 2007 and practices a range of modalities, including integrative Swedish, hot stone therapy, deep tissue and relaxation massage. She recently discovered a love for prenatal and postnatal massage, earning a certification in infant massage instruction, and she is hoping to incorporate these modalities into her

practice for women experiencing the journey through pregnancy.

The Unknown Muscle Massage and Wellness is a co-op for independently licensed therapists and bodyworkers that share office space, offering a diverse menu of services. The co-op recently sponsored The York Capitals, York's first professional indoor football team, and Denise Bostdorf and Surratt provided pre-game sports massages to appreciative players and coaches.
