Om Baby Celebrates World Breastfeeding Week

Om Baby is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week from August 1 to 7, by hosting Naturally Beautiful: A Breastfeeding Photography Exhibit at their pregnancy and parenting center, in Camp Hill. Local photographers’ work will be on display throughout the week, with artists in attendance at a special viewing reception from 5 to 7 p.m., August 2.

In addition, nursing mothers are invited to meet at 10:30 a.m., August 3, to take part in The Big Latch On, a one-minute gathering of nursing moms everywhere in an effort to break the record for the most women breastfeeding simultaneously. Mothers and babies should arrive at least 30 minutes early so they can be registered before the count.

That same evening, a screening of the new movie, Breastmilk, released by the producers of The Business of Being Born, will be shown. All events are intended to raise awareness to the benefits of breastfeeding.

Location: 2201 Rear Market St., Camp Hill. For more information about the week’s activities, call 717-761-4975, email [email protected] or visit OmBabyCenter.com.
